ASC is licensed to provide security services and private investigative services in the State of Maryland and the District of Columbia.  ASC is licensed to provide security services in the State of Virginia.

We take security seriously. As we live and work in a post 9-11 environment, personal and homeland security have become paramount concerns for all industries. For that reason, ASC focuses on understanding your needs and vulnerabilities. Consequently, we take a vigilant approach to protecting your facility, employees and physical assets.

More importantly, we understand the importance of educating our clients on security issues.

ASC employees undergo a thorough screening process to determine their suitability for working with ASC.  We maintain our own personnel investigations division, which performs our employment screening process.  Review our employee screening process.

Yes.  All newly hired employees at ASC must complete a 35-hour training program.  Training is performed by protective service professionals, and includes former military police officers, police officers and private detectives, and certified medical professionals who train our employees for CPR certification.

These instructor-led trainings incorporate various teaching tools such as lecture, role-playing, and videos.  Testing is administered upon the completion of each training module.  Students must successfully complete the final test with a score if at least 75 percent.  Guards who score lower on exams are permitted to retest.

In addition, ASC employees are required to complete four hours of in-service training each month, including range practice for armed guards and SPOs.  CPR/First Aide, self-defense (Jujitsu and martial arts), baton, OC Spray and Taser® training are among the training courses offered each month.

Yes.  All ASC armed guards receive 40 hours of training each year in order to qualify for a license or permit and to carry a handgun while on duty.  Guards must receive qualification documents from a state-licensed trainer.  ASC requires guards to perform reinforcement gun-range practice at least three times a year prior to the annual qualification date.

Yes. Infant, Child and Adult First Aid/CPR and AED training and certifications are offered by ASC as part of our employee’s in-service training.  This course is offered every month and all employees undergo routine training to maintain their certifications.

Yes.  ASC’s private investigators are licensed in states of Maryland and the District of Columbia.  Our investigators are former police investigators and have at least nine years experience in the field of investigations.
