Job Description:  Primarily responsible for protecting buildings—its assets and occupants—from fire, theft, intrusion, vandalism and other serious hazard.  Specific duties include:  1) Monitoring and operating electronic security systems; 2) Performing security enforcement duties as described in Post Orders; 3) Reporting potential hazards conditions and items in need of repair (i.e., broken lights and inoperative or broken locks); 4) Furnishing Incident Reports to designated personnel; 5) Maintaining records in connection with Incident Reports; 6) Immediately reporting and maintaining reports on all accidents, injuries, fires, and property damage; 7) Promptly responding to all requests from clients requiring assistance to prevent acts of violence, vandalism, theft or other disturbances; 8) Performing building security patrols and inspections of areas designated in the Post Orders and/or at the request of the Site Supervisor; 9) Monitoring lobby entrances to ensure proper identification is presented by occupants and visitors are checked in accordance with the Post Order’s Visitor Access Policy and Procedures; 10)  Cooperating fully with any investigation of all security-related matters; 11) Performing assistance in special circumstances such as special events, emergency drills, emergencies, or adverse weather conditions; 12) Responding to incoming calls and directing calls to appropriate persons; 13) Performing other duties as assigned as directed by the Site Supervisor.

Skills/Qualifications: The ideal candidate must:  1) Have or be capable of attaining a license as a Security Guard by the State where applicant will work (NOTE: For armed positions, applicants must have or be able to qualify for a license to carry a handgun according to State specifications); 2) Have a high school diploma or GED; 3) Have successfully completed a background investigation; 4) Have signed acknowledging a Background Check Disclosure and Authorization to Perform a Background Check; 5) Be able to read, write and comprehend English; 6) Be capable of hearing at a distance of 10 feet and posses binocular vision, correctable to 20/30; 7) Be physically fit to perform duties such as standing for extended periods and walking long distances; 8) Be a minimum age of 18 years (23 years of age if carrying a handgun); 9) Possess a valid drivers license or applicable driving license as required by local jurisdiction; 10) Be able to work various shifts; and 11) Be required to maintain First Aid/CPR and AED certifications.

Job Description:  Investigator responsibilities include, but are not limited to:   1) Conducting employment verification and background checks; 2) Performing covert surveillance to detect morality in marriage, insurance fraud, and shrinkage; 3) Reviewing and verifying documents; 4) Preparing all findings in an investigation into a clear and concise report; 5) Gathering evidence, obtaining documents, and recording statements needed for hearings and trials; and 6) Testifying in court.

Skills/Qualifications: The ideal candidate must:  1) Have or be capable of attaining a license as a Private Detective by the State where applicant will work; 2) Have completed 2 years of formalized study or at least 18 college credit hours in Criminal Investigations or Criminal Justice; 3) Have successfully completed a background investigation; 4) Have signed acknowledging a Background Check Disclosure and Authorization to Perform a Background Check; 5) Be able to read, write and comprehend English; 6) Be capable of hearing at a distance of 10 feet and posses binocular vision, correctable to 20/30; 7) Be physically fit to perform surveillance duties such as standing for extended periods and walking long distances; 8) Be a minimum age of 21 years; 9) Possess a valid drivers license or applicable driving license as required by local jurisdiction; 10) Be able to work independently at various times; and 11) Be organized and detailed when presenting results of investigations.

Job Description:  Retail Loss Prevention specialists are primarily responsible for observing and/or monitoring the sales floor to prevent shoplifting, price tag altering, product tampering, and employee theft.  Other duties include, but are not limited to:  1) Patrolling specific areas in plain clothes or in security uniform to deter theft; 2) Identifying, approaching and apprehending shoplifters according to State regulations and store policy; 3) Reducing employee-perpetrated store shrinkage; 4) Monitoring deliveries as they pass from vendors to retailers; 5) Providing consultation on the arrangement of merchandise displays to deter theft; 6)  Preparing Incident Reports on all theft and taking pictures of all evidence for court case; 7) Respond to incidents involving burglaries, riots, violence, theft, missing child, blackouts and natural disasters; 8) Testifying in court.

Skills/Qualifications: The ideal candidate must:  1) Have completed 2 years of formalized study or at least 18 college credit hours in Criminal Investigations or Criminal Justice; 3) Have successfully completed a background investigation; 4) Have signed acknowledging a Background Check Disclosure and Authorization to Perform a Background Check; 5) Be able to read, write and comprehend English; 6) Be capable of hearing at a distance of 10 feet and posses binocular vision, correctable to 20/30; 7) Be physically fit to perform surveillance duties such as standing for extended periods and walking long distances; 8) Be a minimum age of 21 years; 9) Possess a valid drivers license or applicable driving license as required by local jurisdiction; 10) Be able to work weekends and evening hours at various locations; and 11) Possess self-control and common sense so as to not place personal safety in jeopardy.

Job Description:  Canine Handlers are primarily responsible for working with, caring for and training a canine to perform detection (i.e., of narcotics, weaponry, bombs and cadavers), protection, crowd control and deterrence.  Specific duties include, but are not limited to:  1) Directing the canine in conducting searches; 2) Performing canine specialty sales presentations to potential clients; 3) Performing reinforcement training for the canine to enhance tracking capability; 4) Ensuring the caning is well-groomed and public-ready at all times; 5) Caring for the canine during off work hours to include feeding, agility exercise and training, regular visits to the veterinarian.

Skills/Qualifications: The ideal candidate must:  1) Have completed either 3 years in U.S. Armed Forces,  3 years experience in a law enforcement or 5 years as an armed security guard;  2)  Have completed formalized training as a canine handler; 3) Have successfully completed a background investigation; 4) Have signed acknowledging a Background Check Disclosure and Authorization to Perform a Background Check; 5) Have demonstrated affinity for canines and not exhibited any form of abuse and/or neglect; 6) Be capable of hearing at a distance of 10 feet and posses binocular vision, correctable to 20/30; 7) Be physically fit to perform duties to care for, train, exercise and handle the canine; 8) Be a minimum age of 25 years; 9) Possess a valid drivers license or applicable driving license as required by local jurisdiction; 10)  Have adequate living conditions to accommodate a canine; 11) Be able to work flexible hours at various locations; and 11) Possess common sense so as to not place the safety of others in jeopardy.

Job Description:  CCTV Installation Service Technicians are primarily responsible for assisting in all phases of installing, testing and troubleshooting CCTV systems.  Specific duties include, but are not limited to:  1) Install, test, and troubleshoot analog and network-based CCTV systems; 2) Install conduit and pull cable for video, data, and power; 3) Program digital video recorders and network video recorders according to client needs; 4) Diagnose CCTV system problems and determine faulty components; 5) Ability to speak intelligently with network and IT personnel about IP addressing issues; 6) Supervise subcontractors and other workers; 7) Work with power tools; 8) Interface with customers as necessary to install and test equipment; 9) Train customers on operation of equipment; and 10) Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications: The ideal candidate must:  1) Demonstrate the completion of a certified course in Electronics; 2) Accreditation in installing Cat5, Coax BNC and Molex connectors;  3) Have 3 years experience in installing and servicing electronic security systems; 4) Be able to use MS Word and MS Excel; 5) Have knowledge of analog and IP camera systems; 6) Have basic understanding of TCP/IP and networking; 7) Have knowledge of programming digital video recorders (DVRs); 8) Have hands-on experience with hand and power tools; 9) Have basic knowledge of AC and DC theory; 10) Have a mechanical aptitude and ability to use metering devices; 11) Be able to climb stairs and ladders, and carry tools and equipment not to exceed seventy-five pounds; 12) Be able to distinguish colors; 13) Have successfully completed a background investigation; 14) Have signed acknowledging a Background Check Disclosure and Authorization to Perform a Background Check; 15) Be a minimum age of 21 years; 16) Must be able to interface and communicate with customers and co-workers in a clear and professional manner.
